Signal Intake privacy notice
Last updated 15 October 2026.
Who uses it
Signal Intake is a private tool used only by its owner, David Winter, on his own Google account. It is not available to the public, and no one else's data is requested.
What it reads
- Gmail, read-only (
gmail.readonly): new messages, so they can be screened and summarised for the owner. - Google Calendar, read-only (
calendar.readonly): events, so meetings can be tracked.
It cannot send, change or delete mail or calendar entries.
Where the data goes
Data is processed and stored in the owner's own Amazon Web Services accounts, encrypted at rest, and kept for no longer than 13 months. It is used only to help the owner manage his own mail and calendar. It is not sold, shared with third parties or used for advertising. It is not used to train general AI models.
Signal Intake's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Removing access
Access can be withdrawn at any time at myaccount.google.com/connections. Stored data is then deleted on request.
